The Boy and the Nettles

  A BOY was stung by a Nettle.  He ran home and told his Mother,

saying, "Although it hurts me very much, I only touched it

gently."  "That was just why it stung you," said his Mother.  "The

next time you touch a Nettle, grasp it boldly, and it will be

soft as silk to your hand, and not in the least hurt you."

        Whatever you do, do with all your might.

1q What happened to the boy?

Ans= he got stung by a nettle and ran

home and took his bite to his mother.

2q How did the boy treat the nettle?

Ans= gently

3q What did his mother advise?

Ans= to grasp it boldly.

4q What happens if the boy 'grasps it boldly'?

Ans= it will be like silk and won't hurt him.

5q What's the moral?

Ans= whatever you do, do it w/ all your might

Bs= What does that mean?

Ans= use all your strength in whatever you do.

fs= the boy was very tender w/ the nettles. 1 of them stung him. If he had listened to his mother, older and wiser than him, he'd grab the nettle boldly and wouldn't be hurt.
