Aesop’s Fables: THE BALD MAN AND THE FLY

伊索寓言:蒼蠅和禿子

There was once a Bald Man who sat down after work on a hot summer’s day. A Fly came up and kept buzzing about his bald pate, and stinging him from time to time. The Man aimed a blow at his little enemy, but—whack—his palm came on his head instead; again the Fly tormented him, but this time the Man was wiser and said:

“You will only injure yourself if you take notice of despicable enemies.”

1q What kind of man was he?

Ans= bald

2q What type of insect bothered him?

Ans= a fly

3q When did the man sit down?

Ans= after work.

4q What kind of day was it?

Ans= a hot summer's day.

5q Where did the insect go?

 Ans= it kept buzzing about the man's

head=bald pate.

fs= the moral of the story is-you only injure yourself if you take notice of despicable enemies. The fly was bothering the bald man. How could he get relief? He could ask another person to swat it on the wall. Ignoring the fly would have worked.But "ignorance is not bliss" as someone said. If the fly's irritating actions became too much, as I've said, another person could swat it.That might be the best choice.
